St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is committed to providing a safe and secure environment at all times. The school has a comprehensive Crisis Plan that outlines safety procedures for fires, severe weather, lock-downs, intruders, abductions, severe injuries, child abuse, bomb threats, earthquakes, and emergency evacuations. The school's enhanced security and safety system includes cameras, riot glass, emergency ladders, emergency lighting, choking rescue devices, AED (automated external defibrillator), panic buttons and more.
Students practice the following drills:
•FIRE DRILLS once each month.
•TORNADO DRILLS at least three times each school year.
•LOCK DOWN DRILLS periodically throughout the year.
In the event of an emergency, parents will be notified via the School Messenger system.
