Welcome to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School! We are a preschool through 8th-grade school community of 500+ students, located in the Northeast part of Wichita, Kansas.
Our mission is to educate and develop the whole student through exceptional academics and formation in the Faith. Guided by our core values of faithfulness, unity, stewardship, and scholarship, we offer a special community and unique learning environment built upon the principles of the Catholic faith.
We are accredited by the state of Kansas. Our curriculum consists of traditional core studies, religious education, physical education, fine arts, and technology. We also offer professional services for students who have varied and unique learning needs.
Our facilities are well-maintained, and we have a system for identifying and completing improvements. As well, our campus boasts the most current technology infrastructure with a computer lab, laptops for the classroom, and individual student use. Each classroom is outfitted with a SmartBoard. Our school also has the St. Isidore Outdoor Garden. Our garden consists of nine raised garden beds where students are able to learn and help grow various herbs and vegetables that we use in our school lunch program.
We offer a hot-lunch program, Latchkey services, and we employ a full-time nurse and counselor. Students may participate in extracurricular activities such as band, art, and golf. We also offer our middle school students the opportunity to participate in exploratory studies and athletics.
We provide educational programs for parents in support of their roles, we facilitate volunteer activities for parents who wish to support the school, and we assist parents with securing community resources for their children.
As a ministry of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, we are nearly one hundred percent supported by our church members who pray for us, participate in the life of the parish, and give of their financial treasure. For parishioners who have a 12-month history of active participation in the life and mission of the parish as good stewards, the church will sponsor their children’s education at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School. Non-parishioner families who enroll their children at St. Thomas are assessed a fee for their children’s education.
