Couples Connect

Register by August 10

A new ministry for couples from newlyweds through approximately their first ten years of marriage, connecting with others in a similar stage of life.
This fall, we invite you to be part of our inaugural five-session series. Couples Connect is designed to strengthen your marriage, deepen your Catholic faith, and foster meaningful friendships with other couples in our parish. We look forward to continuing the ministry with additional gatherings in the spring and beyond.

Gatherings will be held once a month on Tuesday evenings from 6:00–7:30 p.m. in Allen Hall on August 25, September 29, October 27, November 17, and December 15.
Each evening includes:

  • Dinner for adults
  • Childcare, if needed
    • Nursing infants may remain with their parents during the meetings.
    • Mobile children are asked to participate in the provided childcare.
  • A short presentation by Fr. Will and small-group discussion
  • Conversation and fellowship with other married couples

No preparation is required—just come as you are.

Registration Fee: $40 per couple for the Fall 2026 Couples Connect Series.

STA Scholars

Fall Session - Wednesdays, September 16 - October 28, 7:00 pm in Allen Hall
St. Thomas Aquinas Scholars is an academically based faith formation opportunity. Participants read the assigned book and meet weekly for deep discussions led by those with theological knowledge and training. Fr. Will also be joining when he can.

This fall's selection is Kolbe: Saint of the Immaculata by Francis M. Kalvelage

The most in-depth book yet on the life and work of the great modern martyr of charity and Marian Saint, Maximilian Kolbe, whom Pope John Paul II called "The Saint of our difficult century". Over ten authors have contributed insightful and inspiring chapters that plumb the depths of Kolbe's multi-faceted life, holiness, and profound Marian spirituality. This book explains the controversial misrepresentation of Kolbe as anti-Semitic, his insights and strong stand against Freemasonry, and his unique, powerful Marian teachings that have made him the "prophet of the Immaculata".Missionary, theologian, writer, publisher, founder of Marytown, Marian mystic, and martyr of charity in Auschwitz, St. Maximilian Kolbe shines through the pages of this powerful book, and the reader will see why Kolbe will soon be regarded as one of the greatest saints in Church history, truly a man for all times.

OCIA - Becoming Catholic

Begins Thursday, September 10, Allen Hall

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, including adults who have never been baptized, those baptized in another Christian denomination who are interested in becoming Catholic, and baptized Catholics who wish to receive Holy Communion and Confirmation. Parishioners are encouraged to invite family members, friends, neighbors, or coworkers who may be interested.

A new OCIA group begins each fall at St. Thomas Aquinas. Participants meet weekly with lay leaders and Fr. Will through Lent to learn about the Catholic faith, ask questions, and grow in their relationship with Christ. Those who choose to enter the Catholic Church will receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil.

Classes meet on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning September 10, in Allen Hall, the large meeting room in the church basement. Dinner is provided.

Parish School of Religion (PSR)

Begins September 2
PSR (Parish School of Religion) is the faith formation program at St. Thomas Aquinas for children in grades K–8 who do not attend Catholic schools. Through weekly classes, students grow in their Catholic faith and deepen their understanding of Church teachings.

  • Wednesdays, 6:00–7:15 p.m.
  • Parish School classrooms
  • Fees: $25 for one student or $50 per family

Registration is not complete until the registration fee has been paid, either through the online registration form or at the Church Office. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details.

Baptismal Certificates
A baptismal certificate must be on file with the Church Office for each child enrolled in PSR. If you have not previously submitted one, please do so as soon as possible. Certificates may be submitted with your registration payment.

Important Dates

  • Grades 1–8: Parent and student orientation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m. in the School Cafeteria. Regular classes begin Wednesday, September 9.
  • Kindergarten: Classes begin in January. Watch parish communications in December for registration information.

Babysitters Needed

The parish is seeking babysitters to support its ministries this fall. Paid opportunities are available for adults 18 and older who are VIRTUS trained. Middle and high school students are also invited to volunteer and earn service hours.

Walking With Purpose (Tuesday mornings, weekly beginning September 15)
Approximately 8:45–10:45 a.m.

Couples Connect (Tuesday evenings)
Approximately 5:45–7:45 p.m. on:

Compensation & Requirements
Adults (18 and older): $15 per hour and must be VIRTUS-trained.
Middle and high school students: Volunteer opportunities are available to earn service hours.

Walking with Purpose

If you desire to grow in your faith within a supportive community of Catholic women, Walking with Purpose is for you!
Walking with Purpose (WWP) is a Catholic women's Bible study that combines personal study with engaging small-group discussion. Each study connects the challenges of everyday life with the wisdom of Scripture and the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Designed to meet women wherever they are in their faith journey, Walking with Purpose offers practical, Scripture-based teaching that is faithful to Catholic doctrine and incorporates the Catechism of the Catholic Church as a valuable resource.

Serviam Deo

Listen to the "Serviam Deo" podcast HERE.

"Serviam Deo" – Latin for "I will serve the Lord" – a group for men of the parish focused on:

  • Ongoing fellowship, not just a one-time program
  • Spiritual growth and formation
  • Building a lasting community among parish men

The "Serviam Deo" podcast, hosted by parishioners Michael Rambo, Curtis Richardson, and our own Fr. Will Stuever, is a companion podcast to the men's group at STA. We talk about the role we play as men in our world. We study sacred scripture, vocations, the history of the Church, and other topics important to Catholic men. STA MOMS Group

STA MOMS  (Mothers Offering Mothers Support) Group

The mission of STA MOMS is to support mothers of young children, provide opportunities for socialization and mutual growth in Mary's likeness through the journey of motherhood. A new STA parishioner, Missy May, is taking the lead as the coordinator. Rather than a set schedule of meeting dates, members will enjoy a variety of spontaneous meet-ups to "Pray & Play." Communication will take place through GroupMe messaging. After joining, apostolate members will be notified of meet-ups and have the opportunity to share resources and participate in other activities that support one another, such as making meals for families with new babies or providing babysitting opportunities for trained teenagers.  Click HERE for a message from Missy with more details.

Adoration

Adorers needed!

We need additional Adorers for Eucharistic Adoration. The Bishop requires that we schedule two individuals for each hour the chapel is open. We need adorers to serve as prayer partners at several adoration times to fulfill the Bishop's requirement.

Saint Vincent de Paul

Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP)

Thank you!

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St. Thomas Aquinas is very busy responding to our neighbors’ requests for assistance. Reflecting the reality of today’s economy, the need for assistance has never been so great. In pairs, SVdP members meet with each of those neighbors to understand their need and how we can help. In addition to rental and utility assistance, SVDP also provides them with various community resources to help them improve their long-term situation.

SVdP has been able to make hundreds of home visits and is grateful for generosity of St. Thomas parishioners in supporting Mission Outreach which provides funding to SVdP. The majority of visits are with families. The financial assistance to our neighbors is crucial in maintaining the stability and safety of these families. The generosity of parishioners provides relief from the profound stress and anxiety when facing utility shutoff, eviction or not being able to pay bills.

Please keep our neighbors who need assistance in your prayers. They are the beneficiaries of your charity.

Our parish would like to support our brave military men and women who selflessly serve our country. If you have are an active military parishioner or an active military family member of a parishioner, we kindly request you fill out this form to share their name with us. Their name will be included in our bulletin (approximately once a month).  In addition, they will be on the display poster showcasing military names of those connected to our parish.

Hospital Pastoral Care

Hospital Pastoral Care

Our parish priests strive to visit our parishioners who have been admitted to the hospital. It is our utmost priority to provide spiritual support, comfort, and prayers to those who are going through challenging times in their health journey.

Prior to the pandemic our local hospitals notified parishes when their parishioners were admitted to the hospital, unfortunately they are no longer able to do so. If you or a loved one are hospitalized and would like to receive a visit from our parish priest, please inform the Church Office. We understand that each individual's needs and preferences may vary, so please let us know if there are any specific requests or concerns that we should be aware of.
