Leader of Youth Ministries

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Leader of Youth Ministries to help young people grow in their Catholic faith and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

This position oversees parish religious education and sacramental preparation, leads middle and high school youth ministry programs, and coordinates retreats, service opportunities, special events, and other activities that foster faith, fellowship, and discipleship.

Qualifications: Applicants must be practicing Catholics who embrace stewardship as a way of life. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential. 

A bachelor's degree in theology, religious education, youth ministry, or a related field and previous experience working with youth are preferred.

This is a full-time position requiring regular evening and weekend hours.

STA School: Substitute Teachers, Substitute Nurses, Latchkey Aides

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is actively searching for substitute teachers, substitute nurses, and latchkey aides.

Substitute Teachers -
1.  Requirements for Substitute Licence:
      All of our substitute teachers must hold a license issued by the state of Kansas. There are only three requirements:

  • 60 college credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Complete a Substitute Teaching Application. Click HERE to apply.
  • Submit your fingerprints for a background check. Click HERE for information.

2.  Apply to the Diocese:

  • Once you have obtained a sub-license and completed Virtus training, you can apply with the Diocese here:  Substitute Application – Diocese of Wichita.
  • Once you’ve completed the application, please notify the school office!
  • After you substitute at STA for 40 or more hours, we will reimburse you for any expenses you incurred in obtaining your substitute license.

Substitute Nurses -  must be Registered Nurses or Physician Assistants.

Latchkey Aides - must be at least 16 years old.

All positions require Virtus training and a background check.
