Field Day was a smashing success! |
The weather was perfect; the volunteers were plentiful; the students were energized ... all of the elements necessary for a very successful Field Day at STA! As the school year wound down to its' last day, the students enjoyed a fantastic Field Day, an annual tradition at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School! Check out all of the pictures that captured the fun and activities of the day; click on multimedia, under the school tab, for the picture gallery. Under school events, choose the Field Day 2012 album .... and enjoy! There are almost 200 pictures to view, ending with a picture of a very wet Fr. Daniel! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make the day such a success! Also, many thanks to Dr. Mike Duxler for capturing all of the fun digitally! |

A Letter From Your Principal |

Dear STA Families:
This is always a bitter-sweet time of the school year. We recently bid farewell to our 8th grade class during their final assembly; what a wonderful class! Our preschoolers were busy with water day; it was so fun to listen to their laughter and see them dancing through the water. Teachers took down bulletin boards and cleaned out all the cupboards. The maintenance crew will begin summer projects and prepare the building for next fall. On May 24th we said good-bye to our friends, teachers and school personnel with hopes of connecting over the summer. Unfortunately, we had to say good-bye to some special STA friends. Mrs. Barbara Evans spent her entire 35-year career at STA. Barbara taught in the classroom, prepared hundreds of students to serve at our altar and served as our librarian/media specialist. Barbara is looking forward to her retirement, when she will travel to visit family back in the Boston area and have the ability to spend more time with her grandchildren. When our Kapaun kids come back to visit, the library is one of the first stops on their list. We are grateful to Mrs. Barb Dresselhaus. Barb was kind enough to come to STA when a former teacher had to take a medical leave.
