NUMANA EVENT

On March 1st St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School students and parishioners joined forces to feed the starving in Haiti. The organization NUMANA, which partners with Salvation Army, provided the food and supplies to our school and parish which enabled us to package almost 208,000 meals. These meals will be shipped to Florida and from there will be air lifted to Haiti.  It was an incredible day of “Stewardship in Action”; the young and not-so-young all had a vital role in the success of the event. The day began with the celebration of the Holy Mass, followed by an all-school assembly. Special guest appearances were made by Congressman Todd Tiahrt and our most honorable Mayor Brewer. A special thank you to a super group of worker bees….Suzanne Genilo, Suzanne Mitsch, Jill Boulanger, Christine Wells, Natalie Herlocker, Chrissy Searl, Lorie Cunningham and Molly Cyphert.  Many thanks, too, to Panera Bread, Jimmy John's and Dondlinger Construction who donated food and manpower to the NUMANA event.  Surely God was looking down upon us, saying “well done my good and faithful servants.” God Bless all the students, parents & parishioners who made this such an awesome event.  Check out the slide show below for an all-inclusive view of 317 pictures that canvas the events of the day.
