Preparation for Confirmation aims at engaging young Catholics in a dialogue about who they are, who God has called them to be, and what the Catholic Church teaches. Accompanied by prayer, this dialogue should lead them to an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and to a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit’s role in their lives.
The STA Confirmation Program teaches and inspires candidates to respond and cooperate with God’s grace in all the circumstances of their daily lives, long after they have received Confirmation.
Confirmation preparation is available for parish youth who have received Baptism, Reconciliation and First Communion and are in 10th grade or older. Those who enroll meet on Sunday nights in small or large groups. The Confirmation preparation curriculum is adapted from Matthew Kelly's "Decision Point" which is published by the Dynamic Catholic Institute.
Confirmation Preparation for 2017 will begin with a parent/student meeting on Sunday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. in Allen Hall. To register, please click here.
