I hope everyone had a Great Summer! As we get started with the new school year we will be getting started for the Fitness Gram fall test for grades 2-8! Grades K-1 will be doing activities to get acquainted with each other and the procedures for the new year.
Fitness Gram testing will include the following test.
Sit & Reach
Pull ups
Push ups
Pacer Test
Sit ups
Height and Weight
Please practice these components at home! Start by doing 5 to 10 reps of each component. We will practice all of these in class followed by recording the results and comparing them to the national norms. A Fitness Gram report will then be generated for the students and parents. |

Fitness Exit Standards
The Diocese of Wichita has adopted the following Fitness Standards for 2nd Grade, 5th Grade, and 8th Grade. The standards were developed from the Fitness Gram Fitness Test created by the Cooper Institute of Dallas, Texas. The fitness standards are what the children in each grade should be able to achieve by the end of the year. The standards are set as Meets Standards, Exceeds Standards, and Exemplary.
