4th Grade Teacher Biographies

Mrs. Bleakney

I graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University with a BA in Education, Early-Late Childhood (K-6). I did my student teaching at Magdalen Catholic School and Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet School. Previously, I was an insurance underwriter. I have also worked part time overseeing and teaching children’s programs for the YMCA. I volunteer as a preschool Bible teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Our family has been a member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish for many years. Dale, my husband, is a  demonstration pilot for Textron. We have three children. Nick is a graduate of Wichita State University. Emily is in the Air Force and has two children who attend school here at STA (Jodie is a Kindergartner, and Jesse is in all day Preschool). Brandon attends Kansas University.

In my free time I like to travel, go out to eat or go to the movies! I also enjoy thinking up fun math games and activities for our 4th graders!

I teach math to all three 4th grade classes. I am very excited to be a member of the teaching team.

Mrs. Krsnich

I am Anne Krsnich.  My family moved to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish when I was in high school.   My parents, Bob and Jane O'Connor, shared their great love of the Catholic Faith with my brothers, Bob and Bill O'Connor, my sister, Jinny O'Connor Garvey, and me.

I have undergraduate degrees from Wichita State University in Business Administration and Education as well as a Master of Education degree . I was a "stay at home Mom" until I began teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas in 1996.

My oldest son Tony and his wife Liz live in Kansas City.  They have two sons Winn and Wally.   Pete and his wife Courtney live in Wichita with their two little boys, Rocky and Champ.   Joey and his wife Kathryn recently moved back to Wichita from Dallas.

I am very active in Kansans for Life and Birthline. These are two excellent organizations which offer assistance for unborn babies - as well as their parents! I encourage daily prayers for the end to abortion ... the protection of all life ... from conception until natural death, the sanctity of marriage, and religious liberty.

Mrs. Stout

I am Katie Stout, a fourth grade teacher here at St. Thomas Aquinas. I have been teaching at STA for 8 years, however I was an alphabetic phonics tutor here for the  nine years previously. I graduated from the University of Kansas many years ago with a degree in journalism and  returned to Wichita State to earn an education degree. I am married to Brad Stout, and we have three adult children.  We are members of Blessed Sacrament Parish. I am looking forward to an exciting year!
